Tokyo Crowd Killer, A BloggerWe were shocked by the news about a 25-year-old man who killed seven people in a knife rampage in Akihabara, Tokyo’s biggest electronics shopping district. According to Reuters, this man posted dozens of warning messages in his blog saying “I will kill people in Akihabara.” “I will crash my car and when the car becomes unusable, I will use a knife. Good-bye everyone!” Before his truck was bumped into the crowd, he wrote: “The time has come.”

This is a very sad incident that was never expected to happen in a place where crime rate was low. Had the public been warned by the authority about this killing after reading the suspect’s blog, maybe the killer has been arrested before the rampage. This is a great challenge for authorities to track different blogs and prevent this kind of incident.

  3. The guy’s crazy. He now blames other people for not preventing him from running amok.

  4. Another reason why authorities should read blogs. :D
